Hi. We’re Charlotte, Ian, Grayson, and Shelley and together, we are the storytellers who make up Fable Light Photography.
We’re different ages, different backgrounds, and have different ideas, but we’re united by one thing: we love telling people’s stories in ways that feel honest, warm, and unmistakably them.
Charlotte has been behind the camera for nearly 20 years, and she will absolutely direct your wedding like it's a theatrical production — because she's also the Artistic Director of CenterStage Theatre Works, so that's just how her brain works. She shoots documentary-style, "loose editorial" photography: less "stand here and smile," more "okay that moment just happened and we got it." Her theatre background means your session will be weird and fun in the best possible way.
Ian has been shooting alongside Charlotte for six years, and he is quietly, devastatingly good at this. Network engineer by day, photographer and lighting wizard by night, extremely chill actor always — you probably won't even realize how hard he's working until you see the photos. He will crawl on the ground. He will stand in a stream. He does not complain.
Grayson is the third member of the on-site crew, and he has been here for six years too — which tells you something. Also an engineer. Also has a theatre background. Also has a genuinely great eye. Are we collecting a certain type of person? Yes. Intentionally.
Shelley is the reason everything actually runs smoothly. Dyslexia therapist by day, which means she is professionally trained in patience, clarity, and making complicated things feel manageable. She handles timelines, communication, and the approximately 400 details you didn't know needed handling. She is the calm in the chaos.
The four of us are weirdly obsessed with light: especially in the spaces where good light doesn't naturally exist. Two engineers, three theatre brains, one shared fixation on making things look exactly right.
